What Does Joshua 15:5 Mean?
The account turns from south to east, then north. On the east, Judah is bounded by the Salt Sea up to where the Jordan empties into it. The northern boundary takes its start from that same bay, the meeting of river and sea.
These waters give Judah firm and unmistakable edges. A boundary that cannot be moved gives a people rest, for they know where they belong. The Lord who set these limits also sets a place for each of His own, that none who are His should wander without a home.
