What Does Joshua 18:16 Mean?
The southern line drops down by the mountain before the valley of the son of Hinnom, on the north of the valley of Rephaim, then down through the valley of Hinnom past the south side of Jebusi, the city later known as Jerusalem, and on to Enrogel.
Here the border brushes the place that would one day become Jerusalem, the city of the great King. The map quietly passes the ground where the temple would rise and where redemption would be accomplished. What seems a list of valleys touches the very center of God's unfolding plan.
