What Does Joshua 19:36 Mean?
The list continues with three more cities, including Hazor. Hazor had been a great royal city of the Canaanites whose king Joshua had earlier defeated (Joshua 11).
A city once the head of an enemy alliance is now counted within Israel's inheritance. The stronghold of opposition becomes a possession of God's people. The Lord overturns the proud and gives their place to those He has chosen.
