What Does Joshua 19:40 Mean?
The last of the seven lots cast in this chapter comes out to Dan. With this tribe, the division of the land among the remaining tribes draws to its close.
Dan comes last, yet Dan is not forgotten. Jacob had said Dan would judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel (Genesis 49:16). The God who began the dividing of the land sees it through to the final tribe, leaving no one out of His provision.
