What Does Joshua 19:44 Mean?
The naming of Dan's towns continues with three more settlements. Some of these, like Eltekeh and Gibbethon, were also set apart as towns for the Levites within Dan's borders.
The Levites, who had no land of their own, were given homes scattered among the tribes. So worship and the knowledge of God dwelt in the midst of the people. The inheritance was arranged that the Lord's service might be near to all.
