What Does Joshua 21:36 Mean?
The grant crosses the Jordan into Reuben, on the eastern plateau. Bezer was the city of refuge appointed for that region, a place of safety set out on the open tableland.
Even the eastern tribes, settled outside the land's old boundaries, share in giving the Levites their cities. The servants of God dwelt among them too. The Lord's care for His people, and His provision of refuge and ministry, reached across the river to every tribe of Israel.
