Wherever King David goes, God goes with him and helps him. And David uses everything God gives him to do good and to honor God.
Today's Story
King David faced many strong neighbors who did not want peace. One after another, they came against him — but David was never alone. The Bible says it simply and clearly: the LORD gave David victory everywhere he went.
To the east, to the west, north and south — God was with David, and David's kingdom grew safe and strong.
Now here is the part that shows David's heart. When he won, he came home with silver and gold and shields. But David didn't keep all that treasure to make himself rich. He set it apart and gave it to God, ready for the special house of worship he hoped would one day be built.
And David didn't only fight battles. He sat as king over all the land and ruled his people well. The Bible says he did what was fair and right for all his people. Rich or poor, big or small — everyone was treated kindly and honestly.
God was with David everywhere — and David used everything God gave him to do good.
