1 Corinthians is a letter Paul wrote to a church family. He wanted to help God's people stop fighting and love each other again.
Today's Story
Paul loved a group of people who lived in a city called Corinth. They had become a family who followed Jesus together. So Paul sat down to write them a letter.
He started kind and gentle. “I always thank God for you,” he said. He was so glad they belonged to Jesus.
But Paul had heard some sad news. The family was splitting into little groups. One group said, “I follow this leader!” Another group said, “Well, I follow that leader!” They were arguing about who was the best.
Paul shook his head. He asked them a big question. “Is Jesus split into pieces? No! You all belong to Jesus. He is the One who loves you. He is the One who saved you.”
Paul reminded them of something wonderful. Jesus does not pick only the loudest or the smartest or the strongest. He picks all kinds of people — quiet ones, small ones, ordinary ones — and He makes them His own.
“So stop pulling apart,” Paul said. “Be one family. Agree with each other. You all have the same Jesus.”
