After lots of hard news, Jeremiah gets to share a beautiful promise — about a good King who is coming.
Today's Story
Did you know the Bible often calls God's people His “sheep”? And good leaders are like shepherds who take care of the sheep.
But the leaders in Jeremiah's day were not good shepherds. Instead of keeping the sheep together and safe, they let them wander off and get lost and scared. God saw His people scattered all over, like sheep with no one to care for them. And it made Him sad.
So God made a wonderful promise. He said, “I Myself will gather My sheep back together. I will bring them home. I will give them shepherds who truly care for them. And My people will not be afraid anymore.”
Then God promised something even bigger. He said that one day He would send a special King — a King who would always be good, always be fair, and always be wise. This King would lead the people the right way and take care of them perfectly.
And God gave this King a beautiful name: The Lord Who Makes Everything Right. With Him in charge, the broken things would be mended, and the people would finally be safe and loved.
