Elihu has one more thing to say to Job. In Job 36, he starts pointing at the amazing things God makes, like the rain and the clouds.
Today's Story
“Please listen a little longer,” Elihu said. “I still have good things to tell you about God.”
“God is mighty and strong,” Elihu said. “But He never looks down on anyone. He cares about the people everybody else forgets. He watches over them.”
“And here is something surprising,” Elihu went on. “Sometimes God even teaches us during the hard times. The hard times can help us learn things we couldn't learn any other way.”
Then Elihu pointed at the sky again. “Think about the rain,” he said. “God lifts the water up into the clouds, and then He pours it down to make the plants grow. Who could do that but God?”
“Look at the clouds. Listen to the thunder,” Elihu said, his eyes wide. “God is greater than we will ever understand. Isn't He wonderful?”
Elihu was getting Job ready to see just how big and amazing God really is.

Talk About It
- Elihu says God is mighty but never looks down on anyone. Who is someone you could be kind to who might feel forgotten?
- Elihu says we can even learn things during hard times. Can you think of something hard that taught you something good?
- God lifts up the water and pours down the rain. What is something God made that makes you say, “Wow!”?
