What Does Lamentations 4:13 Mean?
Now the cause is named: 'the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests.' Those who should have been the spiritual guardians of the people, the prophets who spoke for God and the priests who served at his altar, were themselves the source of corruption. The leaders charged with holiness led the way into sin.
