What Does Luke 11:19 Mean?
Jesus turns the charge around. Among the accusers' own people were those who practiced exorcism -- your sons. If casting out demons proves a pact with Beelzebub, the accusation condemns their own.
The double standard is exposed: the same work is called godly in their disciples and devilish in Jesus. Prejudice, not evidence, was speaking. Those very exorcists, Jesus says, will be their judges -- living proof that the accusers knew deliverance could come from God, and refused to see it in him.
