What Does Luke 23:53 Mean?
With his own hands the counsellor performs the burial: down from the cross, wrapped in clean linen, laid in a new tomb cut from the rock. Isaiah had foretold it — the Servant would be “with the rich in his death” (Isaiah 53:9).
