What Does Luke 4:43 Mean?
His answer to the pleading crowd is the chapter's mission statement, and the first time this Gospel names the kingdom of God, the announcement of God's reign breaking in. Therefore am I sent reaches back to the synagogue at Nazareth: anointed, commissioned, and under orders.
