What Does Mark 10:25 Mean?
Jesus seals the warning with deliberately impossible imagery: the largest animal of the land set against the smallest opening in the house. The disciples' stunned response in the next verse shows they heard it exactly as it sounds.
He does not say difficult; he paints impossible. No one buys, earns, or squeezes a way into the kingdom by advantage. If the rich are to be saved, and the verses just ahead insist they can be, it will be by a power far beyond anything they own.
