What Does Mark 11:26 Mean?
The warning completes the promise of verse 25, in the same paired form Jesus used in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:14-15). What was given as encouragement is now given as caution: unforgiveness shuts out forgiveness.
Jesus is not putting a price on mercy but describing how mercy works: grace received makes grace given, and the heart that refuses to extend it shows it has not truly taken it in (Matthew 18:32-35).
