What Does Mark 14:15 Mean?
Everything stands as Jesus said it would: a large upper room, already furnished with couches and tables, prepared and waiting. The disciples need only ready the food — the lamb, the unleavened bread, the wine, the bitter herbs of the feast.
That room holds the most consequential supper in history. God had prepared it before the disciples ever knocked; their task was only to find it and make ready. So it often proves with obedience — we are sent to discover what grace has already arranged, and the foresight of the Lord runs ahead of every errand he assigns.
