What Does Mark 7:37 Mean?
The verdict rises in a largely Gentile region, and it rings with two scriptures at once: the review of creation — God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good (Genesis 1:31) — and the promise of Isaiah that the deaf shall hear and the tongue of the dumb shall sing (Isaiah 35:5-6).
He hath done all things well is the verdict of creation spoken over the Redeemer: the One by whom all things were made (John 1:3) is at work making them whole again.
