What Does Matthew 23:32 Mean?
With piercing irony, Jesus tells the leaders to finish what their ancestors started. The image is of a measure being filled to the brim; the long history of rejecting God's messengers is nearing its full extent, and they are about to bring it to completion by rejecting him.
