What Does Matthew 25:19 Mean?
As the bridegroom tarried, so this lord stays away a long time; Jesus keeps preparing his disciples for an extended wait. But absence is not forever. The master comes back, and the first order of business is a reckoning — an accounting of what each servant did with what he was given.
