What Does Micah 3:11 Mean?
Micah names the rot at every level: judges rule for bribes, priests teach for pay, prophets predict for cash. Then comes the final irony. These same people lean on the Lord and say, 'Is not the Lord among us? No harm can come upon us.' Corruption is wrapped in religious confidence.
Presuming on God's presence while ignoring His ways is the most dangerous self-deception. They mistake His patience for His approval. True faith is never a charm against accountability; it is a daily walk in obedience. The verse warns against a religion of words without works, where the name of God is invoked by lives that contradict Him.
