Nehemiah 10:6 Meaning and Explanation

The roll of priestly families is still unfolding. These names belonged to households that had returned to Jerusalem and now took their place among those committing themselves afresh to the covenant of Moses.

Though we know little of these men beyond their names, their presence here matters. Each one chose to stand with the gathered people and pledge obedience. The God who keeps covenant remembers such choices, however small they may seem to those who make them.
