What Does Psalms 109:4 Mean?
This verse shows the psalmist's spiritual character: he had offered goodwill to people who repaid it with enmity. Rather than retaliate, he surrenders the situation to God through persistent prayer.
His choice to 'give himself unto prayer' is an act of trust and acceptance of divine authority. He will not fight back with his own weapons but commits his case to the Judge of all the earth.
