What Does Revelation 14:1 Mean?
After the terrors of the preceding chapter, the vision lifts to a scene of victory. The Lamb who was slain now stands on Mount Zion, the holy hill that long stood for God's dwelling among His people, and gathered with Him is the great number first named in chapter seven. They are not marked by the beast but sealed with a name far greater.
To bear the Father's name on the forehead is to belong to Him openly, claimed and protected and unashamed. Against every pressure to be branded by the world, these belong wholly to God and to the Lamb. The picture assures every faithful heart that those who follow Christ are known by name and kept safe in the end.
