Revelation 19 first celebrates the fall of Babylon and the coming marriage supper of the Lamb. Christ then appears as the righteous white-horse rider whose name is the Word of God and whose title is King of kings. His clean heavenly armies follow, and the effective sword comes from His mouth. An angel standing in the sun summons all flying birds to God's great supper. Verse 18 lists the fallen human and military ranks the birds will consume. Verse 19 then shows the beast, earth's kings, and their armies gathered against the rider. The beast and false prophet are captured, and the rest are defeated by the word of Christ's judgment.
