What Does Revelation 6:7 Mean?
The fourth seal is broken, and the last of the four living creatures speaks the summons, 'Come and see.' With this the cycle of the four riders reaches its final figure. Each creature has now called in turn, completing the fourfold pattern that has carried the vision forward.
The unbroken order matters. Four times the throne has spoken, four times John has been called to witness, and not one seal has opened apart from the Lamb's hand. As the gravest of the riders draws near, the reader is steadied by the same truth that has held from the first: what comes next still comes under authority, still answers to the One who reigns.
