What Does Romans 3:11 Mean?
Paul continues the quoted testimony from the Psalms. The problem is not only that people fail to do right but that the failure runs deeper, into the mind that does not understand and the will that does not, on its own, reach out for God. The whole person is bent away from the Maker.
This is a humbling word, yet it is the beginning of hope. If we will not naturally seek God, then the wonder of the gospel is that God seeks us first. The Shepherd goes after the lost sheep.
