What Does Romans 6:9 Mean?
Paul grounds the believer's hope in a fact about Christ Himself. Having been raised, He 'dieth no more.' His resurrection was not a return to the old mortal life, like others who were raised only to die again, but a passage into a life beyond death's reach. Death, which once held Him on the cross, now holds no dominion over Him at all.
