What Does Romans 7:11 Mean?
Paul again pictures sin seizing the commandment as its opportunity, now adding the charge of deception. Like the serpent of old, sin twists a good word, whispering lies about God and about what brings joy, and by that deceit it deals death. The echo of Eden is unmistakable.
