What Does Zechariah 5:2 Mean?
As in earlier visions, the heavenly messenger draws the prophet in with a question, 'What seest thou?' Zechariah describes an enormous open scroll, roughly thirty feet by fifteen, dimensions far beyond any document a person would carry.
The vast size says the message is meant to be seen by all and cannot be ignored or hidden. These same proportions echo the porch of the temple and the holy place, quietly tying this word to the house of God and its standard of holiness.
