Healing of the Blind Man
Jesus anoints the eyes of a man born blind and sends him to wash in the pool of Siloam, and the man returns seeing (John 9). An oil on canvas by the Danish painter Carl Bloch (1871).

Carl Heinrich Bloch was a Danish painter best known for the 23-painting cycle on the life of Christ commissioned for the Chapel of Frederiksborg Castle (1865–1879). His warmly lit, intimate scenes are among the most widely reproduced devotional images of the 19th century.
