The Marriage Feast of Cana

At the wedding in Cana, Jesus has the servants fill six stone jars with water, which he turns into wine for the feast (John 2). A watercolor by the French painter James Tissot, from his life of Christ.

French painter who, after a vision experience in 1885, devoted the rest of his career to an extensive illustrated New Testament based on travel through the Holy Land. His watercolors are now held at the Brooklyn Museum.
