Christ Connection - The Gospel Makes the Worthless Valuable

In Christ, the unprofitable becomes profitable. The slave becomes the beloved. The runaway becomes the brother. Peter writes of Christians redeemed by Christ: "Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God" (1 Pet. 2:10). This is what the gospel does: it takes the cast-off, the useless, the worthless - and makes them the beloved of God, redeemed by the blood of Christ. Onesimus is the gospel in miniature.
