St. Mark's Lutheran Church

About this church

St. Mark’s Lutheran Church has served Chula Vista from the corner of Hilltop and I Streets since 1954. The congregation describes its campus as a neighborhood resource for worship, support, care, local schools, families, and businesses. Its own Sunday services are offered in English and Spanish, while separate Mandarin- and Korean-speaking congregations also worship on the property. Children’s ministry, prayer quilts, community connections, and Lutheran Social Services involvement add opportunities for learning and service beyond the central worship schedule.

St. Mark’s classic English service begins Sunday at 9:00 a.m., and its Spanish-language service at 11:15. The campus also hosts Glory Lutheran’s Mandarin service at 10:00 on the sanctuary’s lower level and Areumdaun’s Korean worship from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.; these are distinct congregations sharing the site. Children’s offerings and seasonal activities should be confirmed through the relevant church office. Visitors looking specifically for St. Mark’s should choose the 9:00 English or 11:15 Spanish gathering, while anyone seeking Mandarin or Korean worship should use the contact information provided for the hosted congregation.
