Episcopal Church of the Incarnation

About this church

The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation celebrates Sunday services at 8 and 10:15 a.m. in downtown Santa Rosa. Episcopal worship follows the historic pattern of the Eucharist: a Liturgy of the Word followed by the Liturgy of the Table, or Holy Communion. The parish welcomes longtime Episcopalians, people from other traditions, and those new to any faith community. Children of every age may remain in worship, and separate faith-formation opportunities support their growing participation. Livestreamed services provide a way to preview or join worship remotely.

Parking requires a little planning. The church lot is around the corner and often fills on Sunday mornings; additional free spaces are available in a gravel lot at Mendocino and Cherry, in a city garage about two minutes away, and on surrounding streets on Sundays. The visitor information explains the service’s two-part shape, which is especially useful for guests unfamiliar with Anglican liturgy. Sacramental pages address Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, marriage, reconciliation, and care around illness and death, while formation and service ministries add ways to participate beyond Sunday. The reviewed material does not clearly state the difference between the 8 and 10:15 services, their usual duration or music, Communion guidance for visitors, nursery availability, child check-in and screening, clothing, wheelchair routes, hearing assistance, or whether both services are livestreamed.
