Presbyterian Church of the Roses

About this church

Presbyterian Church of the Roses in Santa Rosa worships at 10 a.m. Sunday, with video archives available on YouTube and sermons and bulletins posted for listening or reading. Worship uses projected service words and hymns, sometimes adds video or slides, and draws music from chancel and bell choirs. Preaching connects biblical history and the way of Jesus with contemporary life. A separate Sacred Space service is described as intimate and meditative, using guitar, participatory activities, and communal reflection; visitors should check its current Saturday dates and hour.

The church describes itself as a safe place where peace and love shape a healthy intergenerational environment for children. Its most locally distinctive ministry is a free hot-breakfast program for Montgomery High School students, offered at the church every school morning from 7 to 8:30 and operating for more than 18 years. Quilters also create pieces for hospice and children's hospitals, while earlier Haiti mission teams served orphanages in Ganthier. Those efforts make compassion visible in both daily neighborhood routines and international partnerships. A first-time worshiper can preview a sermon and bulletin online, attend Sunday at 10, and ask separately about the Saturday contemplative service or school-breakfast volunteering.
