Heart of Longmont

About this church

Heart of Longmont is a United Methodist congregation on 11th Avenue, worshiping Sunday at 10 a.m. in person and by YouTube livestream. The church describes itself as come-as-you-are, with jeans and Sunday best equally at home, and belongs to the Reconciling Ministries Network. Its welcome explicitly includes LGBTQIA+ people in the full life of the congregation. Worship, Communion, study, and service are framed around experiencing God's presence and joining what God is doing in Longmont. The church also acknowledges that it gathers on the ancestral lands of Cheyenne, Arapaho, Ute, and other Indigenous peoples.

Children from kindergarten through fifth grade have hands-on Sunday programming, while nursery care serves infants through age five. Families check in under a clearly marked children's banner, where ministry volunteers help with arrival. The program treats parents as primary spiritual guides and the church as a partner, emphasizing generosity, understanding, and love toward all people. Youth mission trips have included home repair, school support, and service alongside communities facing poverty, disaster, or homelessness. Faith and Reason study, community connections, and other groups provide adult pathways beyond worship. Newcomers can watch a recent service online, then attend the single 10 a.m. gathering without navigating multiple worship styles or times.
