Fort Cooper Baptist Church

About this church

Fort Cooper Baptist Church has served the Inverness and Citrus County area for more than 60 years. Its Sunday schedule begins with classes at 9:30 a.m., followed by morning worship at 10:30 and evening worship at 6:00 p.m.; Wednesday service starts at 7:00. The church identifies as independent, fundamental, and Baptist, with a ministry philosophy centered on evangelism, spiritual growth, and Christian service. That clear self-description helps visitors understand its doctrinal and preaching context before attending.

Adult Sunday School is organized into smaller classes intended to make a larger church feel more personal. Children attend age-specific classes on Sundays and Wednesdays, and Junior Church during the Sunday morning service uses Bible teaching and activities designed for younger participants. Wednesday Bible study gives adults a midweek option alongside children's programming. Fort Cooper's schedule is especially useful for households seeking several weekly touchpoints rather than one main gathering: education and two services on Sunday, then study during the week. The church calendar should be checked for special events, but the official homepage and ministry pages consistently publish the same four core meeting times.
