Lihue Missionary Church

About this church

Lihue Missionary Church gathers Sundays at 9:00 a.m. in the green building on Rice Street, across from the historic county building. Parking is reached from Umi Street, and greeters can direct first-time guests to worship and ministry rooms. Children and participants in ABLE Ministry—teens fourteen and older and adults with special needs—begin in the service, then leave for their classes after the first music set and announcements. Secure check-in and check-out procedures support children's classrooms.

Congregational worship centers on singing to Jesus, biblical teaching, prayer, and using spiritual gifts in the church and community. Children's classes combine play, worship music, Scripture memory, and Bible stories, with background-checked leaders also hosting periodic Kid Parties. Middle-school students meet Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; high-school students meet Fridays from 6:30 to 8:30. Both programs mix food, games, worship, and teaching. The church's stated values also encourage small-group friendship, care for poor and excluded neighbors, relationships across social boundaries, and support for sharing the gospel among nations and ethnic groups.
