Bethel United Ministries

About this church

Bethel United Ministries is an Evanston Apostolic Pentecostal congregation founded in 1993 and shaped by Jesus-name baptism, repentance, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Sunday worship, prayer, Bible teaching, fasting, children, youth, women, men, outreach, and online participation. Its monthly order gives different ministries a visible role while retaining one standing Sunday worship hour.

Sunday School begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by Divine Worship at 11:30 in person and online. Tuesday Youth Ministry begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday Bible Study and Prayer begins online at 8:00. First Sundays include baby blessing, Communion Supper, and receiving new members; women lead the second-Sunday emphasis, men the third, youth the fourth, and children the fifth. In-person fasting services run 10:00 a.m.–noon on first and third Saturdays. The beliefs page identifies baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Ghost with speaking in tongues as core Apostolic practice. Public pages do not specify worship duration, music style, parking, accessibility, attire, nursery or children’s care, child check-in, volunteer screening, or the online platform beyond Zoom information for Friday study. The church history says the congregation opened at 2311 Main Street, but current contact and directory information use 2315 Main Street, so visitors should follow the current address.
