Northminster Presbyterian Church

About this church

Northminster Presbyterian Church is an Evanston faith community whose Sunday worship blends preaching, congregational participation, choir, organ, and occasional guest soloists. The congregation invites visitors into a service lasting about an hour and supports families through preschool, elementary, and youth formation. Service projects, including Appalachia Service Project, connect its educational life with practical Christian service.

Sunday worship begins at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary and is livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook. Preschool Sunday School meets from 9:25 to 11:00 a.m. Elementary classes also conclude at 11:00. During the September-to-June program year, students in grades six through twelve begin in worship with their families, leave after the children’s moment, and continue in separate junior-high and senior-high rooms until 11:00. This integrated pattern lets youth experience part of corporate worship before age-based discussion. Easter and Christmas Eve use special schedules—the official worship page currently lists two Easter services and separate family and adult Christmas Eve gatherings—so holiday visitors should not rely on the ordinary 9:30 time without checking first.
