First Baptist Church

About this church

Henderson’s First Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation in downtown Henderson, Kentucky, with a mission to develop generations of disciples who make disciples from the local community to other continents. The church frames that work through gathering for worship, growing in Scripture and Christian community, and going out in mission. Age-based ministries serve preschoolers, children, teenagers, and adults, while outreach partnerships address needs in Henderson and support wider evangelistic work. Its children’s ministry explicitly aims to partner with parents for long-term faith formation rather than offer isolated Sunday activities.

Sunday worship meets at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. and again at 5:00 p.m.; Sunday School for preschoolers through adults begins at 9:45. Preschool worship is available during both morning services, and Wednesday small groups for children, students, and adults run from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The church is located at 307 Center Street. Guests can use the Plan Your Visit information before arriving, while families can compare the worship and small-group schedule with children’s programming. Because special events can adjust the evening or midweek schedule, confirm the current calendar when planning around those gatherings.
