Zion Baptist Church

About this church

Sunday worship is offered at Zion Baptist Church at 8 and 10:30 a.m. at 8158 Zion Road, about four miles east of Henderson County High School. Connect Groups for every age meet between services at 9:15, making it possible to pair either worship hour with a smaller Bible-learning community. The congregation's stated goal is to help people become fully devoted followers of Christ who discover a place of service in God's Kingdom.

Connect Classes range from preschool, beginning at birth, through children, students, and adults. Each combines Bible study, mutual care, and outreach rather than functioning only as a lecture. Zion's worship ministry uses singers and musicians to lead congregational praise centered on Jesus, while its wider strategy asks people to gather, grow, and then take part in the Great Commission. Local outreach includes the Answer Center, which provides free clothing, household goods, and seasonal items, and Kids Korner events that distribute school backpacks, Easter baskets, and Christmas support to area children. International mission opportunities extend that service beyond Henderson. A newcomer who chooses 8 a.m. worship can stay for a 9:15 group, while someone attending a class first can continue directly into the 10:30 service. This three-part schedule offers both an early and later worship option without forcing visitors to miss the congregation's main age-based connection hour.
