Worship Barn

About this church

Worship Barn gathers Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. and holds Wednesday Bible study at 6:30 at 39410 Minnesota Highway 34 near Detroit Lakes. Rather than presenting itself around a conventional Sunday-morning format, this fellowship emphasizes extended worship, prayer, Scripture, shared meals, and space for people to develop their gifts. The official site says food after a gathering may range from cookies and coffee to a full meal, but a place at the table remains central.

The ministry began from a worship vision in summer 2022 and connects its gatherings directly to service. Harvest Boxes bring shelf-stable food, personal-care items, and household supplies to rural families and older adults who may not qualify for public assistance, with no church-attendance requirement. Barnwood Cafe grew from that work as a completely free setting for food, coffee, music, conversation, and belonging. The site does not publish a detailed service length, children’s program, accessibility guide, or current cafe hours, so newcomers should contact the Barn before relying on anything beyond the Sunday and Wednesday schedule. This is best understood as an intimate worship-and-fellowship ministry with practical rural outreach, not a large program-driven church campus.
