Mount Olive Lutheran Church

About this church

Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Lockport uses a seasonal worship schedule. From September through May, traditional worship is offered Sundays at 8:30 a.m. A second 11:15 service is traditional on the first and third Sundays of the month and blended on the second and fourth Sundays. During the summer, the congregation combines into a 9:45 a.m. outdoor blended service, moving inside when weather requires it. Additional Wednesday evening worship at 7:00 is scheduled during Advent and Lent.

Sunday School for children ages three through eleven meets at 9:00 a.m. during the school-year season, beginning on the third Sunday in September and continuing until the Sunday before Memorial Day. The church describes itself as a welcoming Lutheran congregation centered on the hope of the gospel. Its history also connects present worship to earlier generations through church furnishings that were recovered and restored after fire damage. Visitors comparing churches in the Lockport area can use the published rotation to choose traditional, blended, outdoor, or seasonal midweek worship deliberately.
