Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church

About this church

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church serves Syracuse's Eastwood neighborhood from James Street. Weekend Mass is celebrated Saturday at 5:15 p.m. and Sunday at 7:30 and 9:15 a.m.; the Saturday liturgy is also available online. The parish shares a website and pastoral resources with St. Vincent de Paul Church, but the schedule clearly distinguishes Blessed Sacrament's own liturgies. Its welcome emphasizes prayer, Catholic education, family life, and service, with the parish school adding a weekday educational presence to the campus. Holy Week and other major observances follow special schedules that supersede these normal times.

Parishioners can serve as lectors, Eucharistic ministers, musicians, greeters, altar servers, and in other roles that help shape the Mass. Fellowship and fundraising efforts are coordinated with charitable work, including a shared Lenten fish fry with St. Vincent de Paul. Faith formation, sacramental preparation, school activities, and events for different ages connect families beyond the weekend liturgy. For newcomers, the combined website requires a little attention: pages cover two distinct Syracuse parishes, so Mass times, intentions, and ministry details should be checked under the Blessed Sacrament section. The current bulletin is the most reliable source for holy days and temporary changes.
