God's Temple of Faith Ministries

About this church

God's Temple of Faith Ministries is a Bible-teaching congregation on South Avenue in Syracuse. Sunday morning worship begins at 10:30 a.m.; the church also publishes a Wednesday Bible class at 7:00 p.m. and noon prayer on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Communion is observed on the first Sunday of the month, while the second Sunday is designated Youth Sunday. Visitors who want to preview the preaching can use the church's sermon and livestream resources before attending.

The congregation describes its work in unusually holistic terms: reaching the spirit, soul, and body. Its stated mission includes strengthening families, restoring relationships, developing economic skills, offering counseling, and providing food where needed, alongside introducing people to Christian faith. Bishop Leroy McClain Sr. has served as senior pastor for more than four decades, and Co-Pastor Pamela McClain oversees the women's ministry while serving across the congregation. That long pastoral continuity, combined with recurring prayer, Bible study, youth participation, and practical care, gives prospective visitors a clearer picture of the community than a service time alone.
