Sedge Garden United Methodist Church

About this church

Sedge Garden United Methodist Church offers two Sunday worship styles on Sedge Garden Road in Kernersville. A contemporary service begins at 8:30 a.m. with modern praise music and a casual atmosphere; traditional worship follows at 10:55 with chancel, chamber, and men's choirs plus handbells. Both services carry the same practical, biblical message and last about an hour. Between them, Sunday small groups for children, youth, and adults meet from 9:45 to 10:45. Nursery care is available during both worship services and the group hour, so families can build a complete morning around either style.

Garden Kids serves children from birth through fifth grade with worship, friendship, Bible learning, vacation Bible school, and seasonal community events. Grounded Youth gives middle- and high-school students age-specific small groups during the education hour and Sunday-afternoon gatherings centered on relationships, faith, and calling. The church describes its larger purpose as putting down roots through community, deepening faith through study and encouragement, and serving neighbors locally and globally. Visitors who prefer to remain anonymous can simply enter and worship; the official guide says guests are not asked to stand or identify themselves. The two clearly differentiated services make musical preference the main Sunday decision.
