Linwood Baptist Church

About this church

Linwood Baptist Church in Lexington meets Sunday for Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., morning worship at 10:30, and evening worship at 6 p.m.; Wednesday service also begins at 6. Its message is “Proclaiming Jesus, Preaching the Bible, Providing Hope.” The pastor describes biblical preaching as central to worship, events, and ministry, with the local church equipping believers and sharing the gospel. Audio sermons and video services let visitors sample recent teaching before attending.

Linwood identifies itself as an independent Baptist fellowship guided by the Holy Spirit and Scripture. Music blends current praise and worship songs, Southern Gospel, and traditional hymns. Preaching and teaching use the King James Version, a detail the church states plainly for visitors deciding whether its approach fits them. Its published beliefs affirm inspired Scripture, the Trinity, Jesus as fully divine and human, his sacrificial death and bodily resurrection, salvation by grace through faith, the indwelling Holy Spirit, the local church, Baptism and the Lord's Supper, and Christ's return. The congregation says its doors are open to people in Lexington and surrounding communities who want to know Christ and make him known. Linwood's site does not explain worship length, clothing, parking or access, current ministry for children and teens, safety procedures, ordinance frequency, or whether video is live.
