Generation Church

About this church

Generation Church is a Sylva congregation bringing together people from varied backgrounds around the gospel of Jesus Christ. Its stated priorities are biblical teaching, meaningful worship, care for neighbors, and ministry in western North Carolina and beyond. The atmosphere is described as welcoming and family friendly, with expository preaching and music organized around biblical themes rather than a particular dress code or church background.

Sunday worship begins at 11:00 a.m. Generation Kids Church serves children in first through fifth grade for the duration of that service, using stories, crafts, games, and age-appropriate Bible teaching. Young adults ages sixteen through twenty-five meet Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in a private home in Cullowhee, so newcomers should contact the church before attending that gathering. Generation Kids, Inc. extends the church’s children’s work into regional outreach, while its missions page identifies support for ministries in the United States and overseas. Visitors should use the congregation’s own pages for schedules and ignore the unrelated website-platform promotional text that appears in some page footers.
